Dell reveals new UP-series monitors

Dell's monitors have always delivered solid pixels at a pretty good price, and the company's latest releases look to continue that trend.

The 31.5in, 3840 x 2160 UP3216Q is aimed firmly at professionals. Its PremierColor feature allows for wider color coverage, with two new colors spaces - 100% REC 709 and 87% DCI-P3 - in addition to the previous model's Adobe RGB and 100% sRGB. It also boasts a colour depth of 1.07 billion colours, and a Custom Color mode, and an accessible hardware look-up table.

The UP3216Q also features HDMI 2.0 connectivity, as a well as DisplayPort, and a media card reader.
The 27in, 2560 x 1440 UP2716D also has PremierColor (with the same four color spaces), and extra thin bezels for a multi-monitor setup, and a 178 degree viewing angle. It also has a built in KVM switch so you view content from two PCs at once. Connectivity includes HDMI 1.4, mini DisplayPort, four USB3 ports, and two upstream USB3 ports - for the KVM functionality.

Finally, there's the 24in, 2560 x 1440 UP2516D. It's basically a smaller version of the UP2716D, with much the same funcationality and connectivity.

All three models should be released next month, though we don't have any Australian pricing yet. TFT Central spotted them on the Asia-Pacific Dell site, where they're listed in HK dollars. There's no price at all yet for the UP3216Q, but the UP2716D and UP2516D cost $HK8299 and $HK5799 respectively.
